Usman Khan,博士,特聘副教授


简介 (Introduction)

Dr. Usman earned his Ph.D. degree with honors in Condensed Matter Physics from Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, 2017. He then joined Low Dimensional Materials and Devices (LDMD) at Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute (TBSI), Tsinghua University as a postdoc fellow, 2021. His research interests involve the growth of Two-Dimensional (2D) materials (scalability, stability and large size growth) and magnetic materials for electronics and optoelectronics. He has published more than 50 research articles in reputed international journals, innovation patent, obtained many national and international research awards/grants, reviewer of many journals and participated in many international conferences as invited and keynote speaker.

研究领域 (Research Area)

· His research interests cover chemistry and material science of nanoscale materials with an emphasis on two-dimensional materials.

· He is working on the growth and structural characterization of magnetic nanoparticles, and magnetic nanowires.

· He grows and designs his materials for novel optical, magnetic, electrical and optoelectrical materials.
